Life Line Design

The life line project is a series of papers and documents, which compose a file or technical report of the cover. Technical standards and individual regions provide a detailed list of documents that must be produced:

Evaluation of risks and indications on the consequent choice of the fall protection system;
Routes to get access to coverage;
Indication of the point and methods of safe access to coverage;
Roof plan with indication of the position of the anchoring devices and life lines and the various routes safely from access until all the roof points are reached;
Calculation report to verify the resistance of the structure in case of fall and indicates the fixing system of the anchors to the structure;
Instructions for using the anti-fall system and PPE indications, which must be supplied with an operator to use the lifeline and the anti-fall anchoring system;
Inspection and maintenance program, according to the manufacturer’s instructions and any additional instructions from the designer or technician who drafted the calculation report;
Indications on how to recover an operator in the event of a fall.

All this information does not necessarily have to be on separate documents, but can also be integrated into a single file.
